The new Moncler collection: Born To Protect
Moncler, Dolce&Gabbana, Prada, kering (Saint Laurent, Brioni, Gucci, Balenciaga…), Burberry have put an end to the use of animal fur to carry out their production.
I Think it’s a good idea for luxury brands to take this initiative first of all to protect the environment but also because they have a significant media impact.
Moncler new collection "Born to protect" is a nice example of this approach. For fabrics they have used eco-responsible fibers, such as nylon and recycled polyester or organic cotton. For natural materials, such as wool and down, they have worked with suppliers who meet strict specifications in terms of durability.
In fact, Moncler is the only luxury house inspired by the world of the mountains and by the constant search for innovation and evolution. It is a brand that represents uniqueness, authenticity, quality and excellence.
The brand was created in 1952. It is the abbreviation of the name of a small mountain village near Grenoble Monestier de Clermont. The founders, 2 mountaineers René Ramillon and André Vincent used to meet there and they had the idea of creating sleeping bags, down jackets and gloves to withstand extreme temperature conditions, nothing existed then on the market.
They entered into legend when the Italian expedition succeeded in its ascent from K2 in 54.
